The Arctic, peoples and climate change.
Why do societies struggle to agree on climate action? It often comes down to our diverse backgrounds. I’m helping social anthropologist and climate scientist Ann Eileen Lennert and the EU Horizon founded Green Feedback project explore this through “Your Voice Matters” workshops. Held at universities like UiT and Oulu, cultural hubs and science centers across the Arctic, these sessions delve into why climate mitigation and biodiversity efforts sometimes conflict. I’ve captured the discussions and impact preferences of various groups, from students to indigenous peoples, children, locals, and stakeholders, revealing their similarities and differences. We’ve conducted five workshops in Greenland, Norway, Sápmi, and Finland. The insights from these sessions and excursions inspired an exhibition, currently showcased in Tromsø and traveling by boat through the Arctic.

Science, art & photography
In our excursion to Ilulissat, Greenland, we teamed up – the Norwegian/Greenlandic/Danish science lead Ann Eileen Lennert, Me, Swedish visual documenter and Italian/Danish photographer Luca Berti. Together we interviewed, captured moments and stories to be able to show the intricate and complex realtionship between culture, ecosystems and human priorities.
