The Teeny Tiny Ghost

Even the smallest can change the world.

The children’s book series about the Tiny Little Ghost is a story about a small ghost who loves the changing seasons and playing in nature. In the first book, The Tiny Little Ghost and the Great Longing, our little friend is very fond of snow, but it never shows up. In the next book, The Tiny Little Ghost and the Ocean of Plastic, the ghost dives deep into the mystery of where the colorful plastic sand in the ocean comes from.

The stories came to life when the author and environmental consultant Brita Staal met her nieces and nephews and told them little tales. They loved understanding today’s environmental problems through our tiny friend and learning what they themselves can do to impact their world. The narrative is designed so that the reader can weave in their own family and friends, helping children feel a sense of involvement in the story. It’s a small tale about facing a challenge, finding the power to act, and the feeling of being able to influence your future.

The Ghost & the Sea-book is based on research from the Norwegian organization SALT and has been fact-checked by the Swedish organization Keep Sweden Tidy
